Ashley Robertson Beauty Contestant
Last month we told you about beauty queen contestant , Ashley Robertson who we sponsored in the Miss Sunderland and District 2016 competition. On Saturday 11th June, Ashley competed in the Final stages of the competition, held at The Point in Sunderland where she had to compete in various rounds which secured her a place in the top 5 finalists.
In the Creative Round of the competition, Ashley was tasked with designing and making a dress that reflected her personality. With this in mind, Ashley visited the children at Heel & Toe Charity to ask for their help with the designs.
The children had a great idea to paint their footprints and Ashley would incorporate the cut outs into her design. The final product was this amazing creation a which wowed the judges and the audience….

We are very proud of Ashley as she took 2nd runner up in the competition. She is an inspiring young lady who has proved to our children that it’s not just about winning, it is more about taking part, being creative, working hard and believing in yourself.
