Great North Run 2020 – Event Cancelled
We can now confirm that the GNR 40th Anniversary half marathon run has been cancelled. Your place will be automatically transferred to 2021.
We understand this is not the news you wanted to hear, however your safety is the priority for us all at this time.
Great North Run is our biggest event in the calendar year, after paying a huge amount for charity places, the event raises much needed funds for the charity.
We desperately need your support as our centres are under threat of permanent closure due to Covid19.
If you still want to take part in the run to raise funds for #TeamHT, don’t let your training go to waste. Sign up to our Virtual Half Marathon and continue collecting sponsor money.
2020 Ballot runners and members have the option to roll their entry to the next Great North Run, scheduled for 12th September 2021
