We were approached by the Princes Trust Youth Group from YMCA Consett & Chester-Le-St who had to design a project for their Princes Trust Award and wanted to help us at the same time.
The team of 16 young people designed and built some fantastic sensory items for our sensory garden. A picnic bench which seats fold up for wheelchair access and a sensory pad on the top, some hand made wind chimes and a visual aid made from CD’s.
We are so grateful and the children loved the feel, sight and sound of them.
