Jack’s Surprise Award
We loved attending the #CCAwards St. James Wealth Management Foundations North East Children of Courage Awards hosted by presenter – Rachel Sweeney.
Our little star, Jack Thompson had been nominated by us, for an award in Fundraising and he was so excited.
Jack was introduced to Heel & Toe Charity whilst he was fundraising for CLIC Sargent charity in his local Barclays branch of Washington, Tyne & Wear.
Despite Jack having an in-operable brain tumour which has caused him to be partially sighted, his main goal in his spare time is to help other children who have disabilities through fundraising. Jack has just finished his final round of Chemotherapy with positive news that his tumour is not growing.
The award ceremony was such a humbling event for us to attend. Children from all over the North East were nominated for a range of awards. It was a delight for us to be part of such an amazing night of recognition.
Jack was presented his award by Ian Price from St. James Place Wealth Management. He then celebrated with his Mum Diane, Dad Jeff, Nana Elaine and Jane Long – Development Executive from Heel & Toe Charity, who nominated Jack for the award.
Jack has set himself a challenge to raise £20,000 before his 10th Birthday ( which will be Saturday 30th June 2018). He also decided that instead of having a birthday party, he will be holding a fundraising day in his local community.
Jack’s fundraiser will be a great Fun Day filled with games, sweets, cakes, hot dogs, tea & coffee and music plus lots of prizes to win. Head over to Leam Lane Methodist Church, Gateshead from 11am until 3pm on Saturday 30th June 2018 to help Jack reach his target.
