Each year we look forward to signing up some brave fundraisers to take part in our sponsored zipslide and this time I decided to join the team and take on the challenge. When Sunday finally arrived I was terrified but I was determined to do it.
The thought of jumping off the Tyne Bridge in Newcastle and flying across the River Tyne strapped to a harness on a wire made me very nervous indeed, but when your raising money for such a worthy cause you know you have to be brave and just get on with it. I also thought by wearing a costume it might not seem so daunting which is why I decided Minnie Mouse could come to the rescue.

Well done to everyone who took part, it was terrifying but the whole team including myself really enjoyed the buzz and it’s great to say we did something amazing for the children at Heel & Toe Charity. The team have raised an estimated £3’500 for the charity!
