Our children prove to us every day that there are no limits to what they can achieve, regardless of their physical disabilities or learning difficulties.
With this in mind we are delighted to bring back the Children’s Disability Triathlon at David Lloyd Leisure on Sunday 3rd July 2016.
Children of all abilities can enter into the Swim, Bike and Run event which will raise much needed funds and awareness for Heel & Toe Children’s Charity based in Durham.
The event is jointly organised by Sports Coach and GB AG Triathlete – Jo Shallcross and Tracey Sample – Head Coach at Alnwick Tri Club and Triathlon England North East Region’s Children’s Coach of the Year 2015.
This great opportunity gives children with physical disabilities and learning difficulties the chance to achieve goals set by themselves whilst promoting healthy living and independance.
Distances for the event are;
Swim – 25m, 50m, 100m
Bike – 1km, 2km, 4km
Run – 200m, 500m, 1km
