Sensory Processing For Children & Families

7 Week Block Sessions

Typically, the brain efficiently processes and integrates sensory information from the surrounding environment. For some children, this process is disrupted, resulting in sensory processing difficulties. This can lead to challenges in behaviour, learning, attention and social interaction.

The sensory sessions will provide young people and families with the opportunity to access professional input and advice around sensory processing challenges, providing strategies and guidance they can take away and apply to support development for the young people.

Lead Occupational Therapist – Stuart Brown

Stuart graduated in 2009 with a BSc in occupational therapy from Northumbria University following the completion of his first degree in sports studies. His experience is predominantly paediatric and of a neurological nature and he has carried out further studies in the field of sensory integration.
