SEN Tutoring Service (Special Education Needs)

Our SEN Tutor is a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant.  The role of the SEN Tutor  is to work closely with parents and children with the aim of providing high quality teaching for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).  Our  SEN Tutor helps to identify effective ways of overcoming barriers to learning, and sustaining effective teaching through the comprehensive assessment of children’s needs.

Our SEN Tutor works closely with our Occupational Therapists and can help identify if your child requires further specialist assessment of their skills to help them reach their full potential.

How can our SEN Tutor help your child?

Our SEN Tutor is able to support your child in the following areas:

  • Literacy – Handwriting, grammar, punctuation
  • Spelling
  • Reading
  • Maths
  • Organisational Skills – time management skills, daily schedules and routines

We will assess your child’s current level within these areas and help to identify specific targets to work towards in their sessions. These targets will be reviewed and amended on a regular basis to ensure your child is continuing to develop their skills.

SEN is £25 per hour, we contribute £10 so donations/contributions are required of £15
