Child’s Name: Erin L

Child’s Condition: Erin was born 6 days late following a routine pregnancy, she required blue light treatment for jaundice. Difficulties were noticed from 8 weeks old with a formal diagnosis coming after an MRI at 8 month old, of Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum. Erin also has hypotonia; Global Delayed Development; delayed visual development; glue ear; and several allergies including dairy and soya.

Erin is non-verbal but uses finger pointing to try to get her needs met. She requires assistance with everyday tasks and has specialist equipment at home to help her including a standing frame and a corner seat.

Erin enjoys noisy and light up toys; reading books; and swimming. Her smile just lights up a room.
