When we heard the news that we received the Gold Package from Morrisons Great North Run we were so excited. Not only did it allow us a guaranteed 160 places in the run itself but we also gained entry into the official publication for all runners, a stand at the pasta party on Saturday 12th September and a tent in the charity village at the Great North Run on Sunday 13th September.
Today staff members, Natalie and Jane went down to the Quayside and set up the stand at the pasta party ready to meet and greet all runners and their families tomorrow at the official pasta party opening.

The Pasta Party starts at 10am until 5pm. Heel & Toe Charity’s Stand is Number 12 facing the entrance of the marquee. Whether your running for us or just supporting the event please pop in and say hello to either Natalie, Bill or Jane, who will give you a great big ‘good luck’ for the run on Sunday.

The Quayside is also host to The Great City Games which is a fantastic day out for the family. See World Record Athletes from around the world compete in a number of events and alongside them there will be junior entrants and school entrants.
On Sunday 13th keep an eye out for our Heel & Toe Charity runners taking part in the Great North Run. Thanks to our vest sponsor Avoca you can give a shout of support to our runners in their bright yellow vests with a big red foot on the front and back. Clap and cheer them on as they run to complete the biggest half marathon in the UK.

You can also come and visit us at our tent in the charity village which will be manned by Bill and our Physio’s. Meanwhile, Mandy will be on the look out for all you runners to take your picture and direct you to the tent for your free massage after your half marathon success.

Runners and your families can then relax and join us at Club Del Mar, 12 Ocean Road for our Private After Party where we will have some delicious food and great company for you to share your running experience with.
