Meet the newest members of Heel & Toe Children’s Charity…

Victoria Matthewson

Victoria joined Heel and Toe Children’s Charity in August 2019 as Grants Officer.  Her role is to write and monitor grant applications to trusts and foundations, for various types of funding to support the Charity’s development projects and specialist equipment requirements.

Victoria came to us from Northumbria University, where she was Executive Assistant to the Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive.  Victoria has previously held a number of Personal Assistant and Executive Assistant roles, working at the Department for Education, Newcastle City Council and Deloitte.

She graduated from Huddersfield University in 2004 with a BA (Hons) Interior Design, and achieved a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies in 2010 from Northumbria University.

Victoria is married and has two children (aged five and one) who keep her busy in her spare time.  She enjoys spending family time outdoors and watching live music.

Caroline Nevin

My name is Caroline and it is a pleasure to be a new member of the Heel and Toe Fundraising team. I am a qualified Primary School teacher, but since having two children, I decided to take a career change to enable me to spend more time with them.

Before I joined Heel and Toe, I was working for a cancer support charity. I worked on the services team facilitating support groups and raising awareness of the charity. Another part of my role was to organise fundraising events such as a dog walk, pamper day and a sponsored run.

I’m hoping to bring the skills I’ve gained to Heel and Toe and organise some brilliant events for you to enjoy and help raise some money for this amazing charity.

My hobbies outside of work are singing, dancing and running. However, most of my time is spent ensuring my children are able to get to their after school activities.

I’m looking forward to learning more about the charity and meeting some new people, but mostly raising funds for the amazing children who need Heel and Toe.

Welcome to the #TeamHT Victoria and Caroline!
