It is great to keep ourselves fit and healthy and when you can have fun doing it it’s even better! So when Gateshead Fitness Instructor – Leanne Proud contacted us to organise an 80’s Zumbathon we were more than thrilled.
On Saturday 17th September we held our very first Zumbathon which saw over 90 people dressed in their best 80’s outfits, working out to some classic tunes at Swalwell Juniors Football Club.
Take a look at the 80’s Zumbathon Night below….
After an hour of non-stop Zumba and some Pie & Peas to refuel, we held a Fundraising night hosted by Electric Nite Entertainment. Lots of great items were won in the raffle and bidding for some exclusive items was a great success. The fun continued on until Midnight with local vocalist – Jane Long performing a classic 80’s set followed by a disco to finish off the night.
Leanne Proud with the Heel & Toe Charity Team – Amanda, Jane & Mandy.
Well done to everyone who took part and helped raise a fantastic £1,300 for Heel & Toe Children’s Charity which will go towards providing free therapy to children with disabilities who attend the charity’s centre based in Chester-Le-Street, County Durham.
