Lyra’s Story

Lyra joined Heel and Toe in 2015 when she was unable to walk or sit or crawl or say any words and she has made great advances over this time.

She has had several wonderful children buddied with her in her free Conductive Education sessions and these have helped Lyra develop into a friendly and attentive young girl.

Lyra squeals with excitement when she arrives at Heel and Toe for her weekly Conductive Education sessions and has also started Physiotherapy and Speech and Language Therapy. Through block sessions over the school holidays she has made big changes and is even able to walk on a treadmill and say a few words and sentences.

At home, Lyra loves playing with her brother Max and sister Maisie and particularly loves watching YouTube videos showing nursery rhymes like Old Macdonald. She is very clear at expressing herself to her parents and regularly says “I don’t want that!”. We credit Heel and Toe for increasing Lyra’s confidence and we look forward to seeing more changes as we all work together to help Lyra be the best she can be.

Lyra is a little superstar.
